Young people at the EYE

BEYOND EYE

CONFERENCE ON THE FUTURE OF EUROPE

Make your voice heard: the EU is looking for your ideas on how it should change and what Europe’s future should look like.

EYE On the edge

EYE on the Edge, a local European Youth Event, is an exciting new festival created by young people. The project, which is part of the Galway2020 – European Capital of Culture programme, brings together young people and fuses politics, arts and culture to create dialogue, share ideas and respond to contemporary European and global challenges. It will do this through an engaging and interactive programme of discussions, workshops, artistic performances, exhibitions and other activities.

Originally planned as a 2-day festival in Galway City, the festival is now taking place from 23 to 25 April 2021 in a fully online format due to the ongoing pandemic. As such the festival will now happen in multiple locations right across Galway, Ireland, Europe and beyond!

Youth Network Event

The Youth Network Event is an annual co-creation and networking opportunity for youth organisations all over EU (with a focus on local, regional and disadvantaged youth) and the European Parliament.

The event provides a unique open dialogue environment between young Europeans and the European Parliament in a spirit of consultation and co-creation, in a fully participatory format.

YOUTHIDEAS.EU

youthideas.eu is an online platform where young people can outline their own ideas on the issues that Europe is facing today and their ideas for the Europe of tomorrow.

All young people are also invited to share their ideas about the European Parliament’s initiatives for youth such as the European Youth Event, Euroscola, the European Youth Seminars, the European School Ambassador Programme and the Charlemagne Youth Prize.

Once an idea gets published on the website, other users can like and comment on it, which might result in a lively exchange that will help adapt, shape, and define ideas further.

Most questions include links to background information provided by the European Parliamentary Research Service.

Youth ideas are used to enrich the programme of the biennial European Youth Event (EYE), and are also an inspiration and input for other youth initiatives of the European Parliament. Moreover, the most concrete ideas will be forwarded to the Members of the European Parliament and other policy-makers, inviting them to join the debate right here.
