Youth Network Event: Gemeinsam etwas gestalten!
Wer dachte, Networking sei während einer Pandemie nicht möglich? Die 2021-Ausgabe des Youth Network Events fand online statt, am 25. und 26. Februar, und es nahmen mehrere Jugendorganisationen aus ganz Europa teil.
Co-Kreation war das Herzstück des Youth Network Events. Jugendorganisationen aus der ganzen EU – insbesondere lokale und regionale Organisationen und solche, die sich auf benachteiligte Jugendliche konzentrieren – hatten die Möglichkeit, sich mit der Youth Outreach Unit des Europäischen Parlaments zu treffen. Es wurden neue Ideen zur Unterstützung junger Menschen diskutiert. Die Veranstaltung konzentrierte sich auch auf konkrete Projekte, um diese Konzepte in die Realität umzusetzen. In einem vollständig partizipativen Format reflektierten die 81 Teilnehmenden darüber, was gut funktioniert hat und was anders oder besser gemacht werden muss.
In verschiedenen Arbeitssitzungen wurde eine Vielzahl von Themen zur Diskussion gestellt. Dazu gehörten die Umsetzung lokaler Aktivitäten, die Organisation von Projekten zur Stärkung von ländlichen Gemeinden, Minderheiten und Menschen mit Behinderungen, die Vereinfachung der Sprache und die Neugestaltung von Kommunikationskanälen.
Für die Teilnehmenden war die Veranstaltung eine perfekte Gelegenheit, die zukünftige Strategie des Parlaments in Bezug auf die Arbeit mit jungen Menschen mitzugestalten und die Zusammenarbeit zwischen großen und kleineren Organisationen zu verbessern.
Das Youth Network Event ist nun ein fester jährlicher Termin als Teil des Jugendangebots des Europäischen Parlaments.
