The European Parliament has launched a call for groups interested in organising activities during the event.
The call is addressed to youth organisations and youth groups wishing to organise activities inside the European Parliament and is managed by the Youth Outreach Unit of the European Parliament.
The application deadline is 16 October 2026.

The EYE is an event for youth, co-created with youth, and participants themselves can propose and organise interactive or artistic activities.

In order to be eligible, you need to fulfil the following criteria:

The organising group must consist of 8-10 participants. It must include minimum two facilitators (to organise an interactive workshop) or minimum two performers (for small-scale artistic performances).

Participants must be residents of the European Union, a candidate country, or the UK.*

Participants must be between 16 and30 years old by the date of the event (18 June 2027), with the exception of the Head and Vice-head of group who can be older than 30 but must be at least 18 years old.
*Please note: If your place of residence is within a 50km radius of the European Parliament premises in Strasbourg you will not qualify for funding, but can still propose an activity.

No, you do not need to be part of a registered entity*. You can also apply as a school class or with a group of friends as long as you fulfil our eligibility criteria and are motivated to organise an engaging activity for EYE2027.
*Please note: a separate call for activities in the EYE Village open to only established organisations will be launched at a later stage. Further information will be published when the call opens.

No. If your group is selected and receives financial support under this call, it cannot receive additional financial support under another EYE2027 call.

The selected proposals will receive a financial contribution from the European Parliament, ranging from 400€ to 550€ per person. As the calculation of the contribution is dependent on your place of residence, we cannot provide you with a final sum at this stage. Please note: If you have your residence within a 50km radius of the European Parliament premises in Strasbourg you will not qualify for funding, but can still propose an activity.
Each person in your group will receive the amount as a lump sum to partly cover travel, accommodation (both of which you need to book and pay yourselves), and subsistence expenses.

Interactivity! We encourage you to design your activity so it’s as interactive and engaging for participants as possible. This means implementing non-formal education methods and making sure that participants have the space to interact with each other and speakers, contribute with their experience and knowledge, and express their concerns. All activities should be designed by young people for young people.
You can propose various formats, e.g. an interactive panel discussion, a workshop, a simulation game or even a sustainable fashion show. To get a better understanding of what we are looking for, you can have a look at our selection criteria and at the programmes of previous EYE editions.

EYE2027 will be organised in-person in Strasbourg on 18 and 19 June 2027. A limited amount of activities will be available in a hybrid format and live streamed to our online audience. Applications from activity organisers should propose in-person activities only.

In our application form, we ask you to describe how you plan to structure your activity and involve participants. Since interactivity is a core selection criterion, please design your activity with a room capacity of approximately 30 to 60 participants in mind.

Activities are foreseen to last for 30, 60 or 90 minutes. Please also keep in mind that we ask you to facilitate your activity once on Friday 18 June and once on Saturday 19 June.

Yes, your activity will have to be held in English. Please note that EYE2027 cannot facilitate interpretation.

Your activity will take place in a meeting room or space inside the European Parliament. The space will be furnished and basic equipment will be provided, as specified in the application form.

Each group may submit only one application. If a group submits more than one application, only the most recent application submitted before the call deadline will be taken into consideration for the evaluation.
You will be asked to host your workshop or artistic performance twice, once on Friday 18 June and once on Saturday 19 June.

No, you are eligible for the call if the participants are residents in the European Union, a candidate country or the UK and fulfil all other eligibility criteria set out in Section 5 of the call.

We look for:

Relevance to one of the four EYE2027 themes and the European dimension of your proposal;

Quality of the activity design and opportunities for active participation of the audience;

Previous experience in the organisation of youth activities or performances;

Originality of ideas to promote and communicate EYE2027 during and after the event;

Involvement of a Member of European Parliament (MEP) will be considered a plus (not applicable for small-scale artistic performances).

Yes, involvement of an MEP is considered a bonus, but is not mandatory (not applicable for small-scale artistic performances). Please note that the EYE2027 team cannot facilitate contacts with MEPs. You will need to contact them yourself.

The calls will close on Friday 16 October 2026 at 23:59 CET. No applications will be accepted after this date. After the closing of the calls, we will assess the eligibility of the applications and make a selection. Applicants will be informed of the selection by mid-November 2026 - as specified in the timeline of the application form.

Attending EYE2027 is always free. Once accredited, you can participate in the other activities on the EYE programme.

We will organise one information session on 8 October 2026, where we will present the EYE2027 concept, the details of the call and answer questions regarding the application process. The link to the webinar will be available on this page around 2 October.
